Police Reserves

 

The Police Reserves are all volunteers and their duties are to perform specific police functions to assist the regular police officers.  Primarily utilized for crowd control at such events as athletic contests, parades, and carnivals, they also activated during city emergencies, such as floods or power outages. Reserve Officers also perform residential security checks for city residents that are on vacation or out of town. 

All police reserve candidates must pass physical and screening examinations and be able to complete the reserve officer training academy and firearms qualification.
